I am a software developer with 20+ years developing software solutions within a variety of industries. I have experienced the power of the Agile philosophy to unleash a team’s full potential. I enjoy mentoring individuals and coaching teams. I believe in empowering the team with self-organization to provide the motivation to move the team along the productivity curve toward ultra performance. I have experience teaching Scrum and XP practices to multiple groups that evolved into Agile teams delivering quality software.

Key Achievements

Instrumental in transition companies development practices to Agile on a multi-team engagement with 30+ developers - creating a new product and reaching the market place in 10 months.

Lead a development team enhancing a “design-dead” application that was critical to the mission of the organization. This team went from a zero velocity (a state of analysis paralysis) to delivering functional enhancements every month for over a year. After one release a major stake holder said, “I’ve asked for case consolidation for 20 years, and you delivered it in two sprints.” He had the requirements document to prove it had taken 20 years, talk about Lean Cycle Time!

Developed software within the insurance industry to allow legacy clients to meet federal regulations on HIPAA while performing Electronic Remittance Advice of insurance claims and medical coding.

Worked at one of the largest transportation logistics providers of North America mentoring in Java & J2EE best practices.

Consulted with one of the world leaders in web mapping solutions, mentoring premier API clients in mapping solutions.

Project lead for high-speed satellite network product delivering internet connectivity to remote locations without telecommunication infrastructure.
